Frustrated...

I have moved past frustration and gone straight into pissed off! I have had my laptop since September. In January I had to have the hard drive replaced. It was working fine and then about 2 weeks ago the wireless network went caput! I called Acer and the idiotic technician told me to uninstall Atheros. Well, it needs Atheros to run. He told me to go download the driver. I did and it still didnt' work. Called Acer back and they had me send it to them via FedEx. I got it back today and it still doesn't work. They didn't even attempt to fix the problem. They replaced the missing key and reinstalled the bios. None of which has to do with the wireless network. I couldn't get them to understand that it wasn't even acknowledging wireless capabilities. I was so pissed off. I gave up and had Greg call in. He had to send it back to Acer. Maybe they will fix it now. In the mean time I am still without my beloved laptop and unable to stay connected. I am living on borrowed time. I have to borrow a computer at work or use Greg's laptop. Hopefully, I will have my computer back by the weekend.

Still getting the hang of blogging.

I am still trying to work out all the details of this whole blogging thing. I finally figured out how to change my layout and add slideshows. It takes me awhile because I can only work on it in the middle of the night. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. Between work, kids, housework, husband, scrapping, etc... I sometimes feel like I am being pulled in 20 different directions. My mom always tells me that I am the "Mommy" and that's my job!!! Anyway, the in-laws are here and it hasn't really been that bad of a visit. I am definately ready for them to leave so I can have my house back.

People

People in general are just irritating. My sister recently wrote a blog and posted it on her myspace about how "we" have become so anti-social. She says it is a result of technology; email and text messaging. I call BULLSHIT!!! I think the reason why we are such an anti-social society is the stupidity of most people. I am so sick of being politically correct!!! I am tired of having to be considerate of other people's feelings and watch what I say. If you don't like what I say then you don't have to listen. She also goes on to say that we should be more family/friend oriented. This from the person who lives 3 hours away and almost NEVER comes home! We are anti-social because we are taught to be. I can walk to my parents' house in less than 7 minutes and I almost never see them. I am lucky if I see them once a month. My kids have stopped asking to go to GG and Grandad's because they know that they are not wanted. When they do go over there it's to sit and watch tv or watch them watch tv. Anti-socialism is a learned behavior and I have learned from the best.

My first blog

This is my first attempt at blogging. I'm not sure how I am doing. I was never one for keeping a diary, I could always remember everything that happened. I have found that as I get older I don't always remember so much. I think it's the "mommy" brain. I comes from having children. Something happens when you are pregnant and it shuts down then part of your brain used for memory. Maybe it's just senility setting in at the ripe old age of 34. Anyway, whatever it the reasoning I thought it would be neat to create a blog. A place where I could leave my thoughts and maybe someday I will remember where I left them (along with my cell phone and car keys). I have a younger sister who is an avid blogger on myspace but she uses big words and is way too political for me. I am a simple girl who likes simple things.
So I am giving this blog thing a whirl and who know maybe that English degree might actually be useful!!!
